AIDS Walk |

I may not have actually walked, but I am so glad I went to the SF Aids Walk (I turned in my money, that's the part that really matters, I think). It was quite a sight to see ALL those people, all united for such a great cause. My eyes welled up as soon as I got off the bus, just to see the sheer numbers of people. The only letdown: no t-shirts. It was disappointing, especially seeing that all the other teams had them. Oh well, stuff happens. |

Wilson Cruz gave the most incredible speech at the opening ceremonies. He was in Rent way before I had ever heard of it, so this was my first exposure to him. He was fabulous - inspiring, motivational, and HILARIOUS. He brought me to tears again, first with emotion, then with laughter. Then he posed for a picture with our walk team, one cool dude. |

Ok - show of hands, who DOESN'T love Richard??? I'm so glad we finally got to meet in person, and I hope that you know that you will NEVER WALK ALONE! |

Not a really significant picture, but aren't Leah and I cute as hell? Funny story: I was so out of it in the morning, I mumbled something to Leah about "I'm not going," which pissed her off, so she stormed out and slammed the door. This woke me up though, as I raced over to the park to try to catch up with her and beg for forgiveness. "I'm sorry! Sleep deprivation! Whatever I said I swear I didn't mean!!!" But I found her among all those people, amazingly enough, so it's all good. |
